Lydia Horne is a writer, teacher, and artist living in Los Angeles. She recently received her MFA in Photography + Media at California Institute of the Arts. Horne's multimedia practice uses fabric, film, cake, security camera footage, and other materials to address surveillance of the female body. Horne formerly worked at WIRED magazine in San Francisco and now freelances for outlets including Art Papers, Hyperallergic, and Racquet Magazine. She mentors students of all ages to strengthen their creative and academic writing through programs at Los Angeles Public Library, Problem Library, and 826 Valencia.
